Aurora's Story...
Meet Princess Aurora Bananarama McSmooshyface! You can call her Rory for short. This sweet basset girl had a rough start in life, being used as a breeding mom for not very nice people. She had several litters in her 7 years before she was no longer of service and tossed out. Besides being worn out, Rory also had heartworms.

Since being in foster, Rory has learned to live the good life! She discovered that a cushy bed in the house and belly rubs are the best things ever! A little shy, especially with men, she warms up quickly with some kind words and a good back scratch. She is precious and has a good life to look forward to now! A typical slow and lazy basset hound, her stubby legs can fly when there's treats involved! Rory would love nothing more than a calm family to spoil her rotten and continue showing her the good life.

Rory is now heartworm negative, up to date on all vaccinations, spayed, health tested, and microchipped. If you'd like to bring a smooshy pile of love into your life, email secondchanceresq@gmail.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Aurora, a Snyder Basset Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound for sale in Snyder, or seeking a Basset Hound dog from a breeder in Snyder.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Snyder already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Snyder breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound breeders who help with Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Snyder paves the way for another one to be saved.
