Here's what the humans have to say about me:
SCD was contacted by a Humane Society in GA regarding 2 pure bred Carolina Dogs being surrendered to them. We agreed to take both Red (male) and River (female) so we could be sure they found perfect homes. They are both 4 years old and fully vaccinated, their former owner had them both spayed/ neutered. River is around 70 lbs and Red is about 75 lbs. - so they ARE big Carolina Dogs...an experienced CD home is a must!!
We currently have them at a boarding/ training facility so they can be worked with and we can have their personalities assessed in order to find them the right homes. We do know they are escape experts - so they need to go to homes that monitor their dogs activity while they're outside - we will not make any exceptions in this case. A fenced, secure yard and a very active, dog oriented family is what we're looking for.
We've attached a few pictures of River and a couple of them together - they certainly are stunning!
These are two bonded Carolina Dogs and we'd like to see them stay together and go to a very responsible, experienced with this breed - home. We really don't want to separate them, they love each other and are very well mannered - please see their video. Please see their video too - another Carolina Dog we have in foster also (jasper) makes a guest appearance :)
