My name is Nena!

Greyhound Dog for adoption in Spencerville, Maryland - Nena

I found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking

Nena's Info...

I am already spayed, purebred, up to date with shots, and not good with cats.

Nena's Story...
Nena’s the prettiest little girl we could imagine, and she has a sweet personality to match! She had a long, 150-race career, but she's no grizzled veteran. She looks as if she’s spent her five years curled up on a fluffy bed being pampered.

Nena is quiet but curious — she likes to take everything in on her walks (Look – a bird!). She has great leash manners, with no pulling, and she’s happy to walk right by your side. At this point she’s a little too interested in squirrels and the neighborhood bunnies, so we’re working with her on that.

She was the “Down/Stay” champion of her group in the prison program and is quick to obey the “Down” command before being fed and taken out of her crate for walks. This girl is just a dream! Wouldn’t you love to share a happily ever after with her?

Apply today for the opportunity!

Nena will be available for in-home meetings with approved adopters beginning 6/3.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nena, a Spencerville Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Greyhound for sale in Spencerville, or seeking a Greyhound dog from a breeder in Spencerville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Spencerville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Spencerville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Greyhound breeders who help with Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Spencerville paves the way for another one to be saved.
