Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Bam Bam is a basenji mix. I have been told that basenjis rarely bark and this holds true with her most of the time. This little girl has the best personality & makes us smile everyday! And she smiles back at us too! It is so cute, my husband call her "smiley". She was dropped off at the shelter by someone who found her and unfortunately was heartworm positive. She was at the shelter several weeks when I decided I had to save her. It took her no time to adjust at our house. She loves her foster siblings, children & everybody for that matter; and she loves to cuddle! Her treatment for heartworms was completed on 4/29 & is now ready to travel to her forever home. She really like other dogs, so if you have them, that’s great. If not, she is super good with being the only pup getting your love. Bam Bam is house trained & so very smart, she has a mellow personality! She is approx 1 1/2 years old & her weight as of 4/29 was 32 lbs. She is the perfect size dog and is currently being fostered in Tennessee. Feel free to contact her foster mom, Alecia Clark @ 901-486-2850 (via text or call), if you have any questions. I will be posting a video of her soon. Once adopted she will travel to his new forever home via transport. The adoption fee of $460.00 includes her vaccinations, spay, microchip, current heartworm prevention and transport fee to her new forever home. For an adoption application please visit Bluescityanimalrescue.net and email it to Baversa1@gmail.com
PLEASE REMEMBER TO CALL AHEAD AND GIVE YOUR VET PERMISSION TO SPEAK WITH US!
All of our pets start their journey in Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted at which time they travel via transport to their new forever home. We use Alpha Dog Pet Transport for our New England adoptions (https://alphadogtransport.com) and The Road Home Pet Transport for our Midwest adopters.
Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well educated decision from well qualified staff.
Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Blues City is operated 100% by volunteers. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding.
