My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet the Belle of the ball!
Belle (aka Darth Kitty) is a very sweet 9-12 month old kitten who has had a few challenges in life and has faced them all head on, and overcame them all! Originally found as a stray kitten with her 2 brothers, the whole litter was sick with a nasty eye and upper respiratory infection when they came to the shelter. Thankfully our rescue had space for some snotty little fluffy kitten, so they came to us.
With a little TLC and vet care they all recovered from their kitty colds. The eye infection left a cloudiness on Belle's eye, but it does not interfere with her at all or require ongoing vet care, it just adds to her uniqueness.
Belle then developed a large nasopharyngeal and ear growth, known as a polyp, causing her to sound like darth vader when she was breathing. Luckily our vets found it and surgically removed it and Belle has recovered. We do think she is deaf, or very hard of hearing, probably because of the polyp.
It does nothing to her, other than make her not scared of loud noises. When her foster mom turns on the vacuum to clean the other cats all run away but Belle tries to ride the vacuum around.

Did we mention she is a very playful kitten? She absolutely loves her cat friends, particularly a feisty little kitten named Marigold, and we would love for them to be adopted together. The girls can be found chasing each other around, napping together, or just generally getting into mischief together. You can usually tell where Marigold is because she makes all sorts of cute chirping noises while she plays.
