Naomi's Info...

I am already spayed, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, not good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Naomi's Story...
Naomi is a 3-year-old female Miniature Dachshund x Chihuahua mix who is looking for an experienced home. Naomi came in as a stray and is very shy and scared. We don't believe she has ever lived in a house before, and she is working on her doggie manners. She tends to guard high value items from other dogs, and is learning that this is not acceptable. She does live with other dogs and cats in her foster home.
Naomi is fearful of new people, but becomes attached quickly and has begun following her foster caregivers around 24/7. Naomi still has a long way to go, and would do well with the stability of a consistent training routine and no small children in the home. She is eligible for discounted professional training classes for anyone who chooses to adopt her, and is eligible for a trial adoption period.
Naomi's adoption fee is $250 and includes her spay, current vaccinations, current de-wormings, microchip, a leash, collar, and some food. Adoption forms can be found at www.cleoskarmacaninerescue.com and must be submitted prior to meeting the dogs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Naomi, a Duchess Dachshund/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Chihuahua for sale in Duchess, or seeking a Dachshund/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Duchess.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Duchess already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Duchess breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Chihuahua breeders who help with Dachshund/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Duchess paves the way for another one to be saved.
