Please submit an application AND do NOT also contact the shelter. You will be contacting both the adoption coordinator and the marketing director, who do not see each other's emails. This causes confusion.
ELLA is the kindest, most gentle girl you could ever be lucky enough to meet. She is best pals with the other pup in her foster home. She is so incredibly kind to the 3, 5, and 9 year old children in her foster home as well. ELLA knows not to potty in the house and is quiet in her crate. She will play with her pup friends, but isn't a hyper girl at all. She loves to snuggle on the couch or lounge in her doggie bed. She rides nicely in the car and will happily accompany you anywhere you want to go. She doesn't currently live with kitty cats, but has met plenty and is kind to them as well. She is happiest with companionship so we think she would thrive in a forever home with either another pup OR a human who works from home, works part time, or is a stay at home mom/dad. ELLA is the also the perfect age of 2 years old. If you are searching for a tender soul to complete your family and show unconditional love, ELLA is absolutely the girl for you!
ELLA is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations.
Her $450 adoption fee includes interstate health certificate and transport to the Midwest.

All of our dogs start their journey in Memphis, Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted. Once adopted, they travel via one of our transport partners to their new forever homes. We use Alpha Dog Pet Transport for our New England, Nashville, and Knoxville adoptions (https://alphadogtransport.com) and The Road Home Pet Transport for our Midwest adopters (https://www.facebook.com/roadhomepettransport).
Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff.
Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Woof River is 100% volunteer operated. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding.
