Boss' house manners are excellent and he's been super easy here at home. While he's incredibly hungry and eats a ton, he really doesn't try to get into anything around the house. He mostly just naps on his bed and follows me around. He's quite enthusiastic about getting attention and will explode into full body wiggles for belly rubs. He hasn't been very interested in stuffy toys but like tennis balls and loves his rope tug toy. He gets super excited playing tug-o-war but he will drop the rope immediately in exchange for food. He's been making great progress with training and will consistently wait at the door, will wait for his food bowl, and has been practicing his sit-stays and down-stays up to 1 minute. He's also done well practicing in public out on walks, at Home Depot, and at the pet store. He does still pull on leash but wears a gentle leader or halti very nicely and is very responsive when I call his attention back to me. With some food or treats in hand, I can hold his undivided attention so he's been easy to refocus and reinforce. Boss is incredibly athletic and has turned out to be an exceptional runner. He's kept up with me on almost all of my runs - he even ran a full marathon distance on the trails. It would be ideal for him to live with an active family but he has done well with days off from running so I don't think he absolutely needs an extreme amount of exercise. He should fit in well with a typical weekend warrior schedule with some walks, jogs, or training and play time during a busy work week and some kind of run or hiking adventure on the weekends. We don't have a lot of history about Boss. The family who surrendered him had taken him in temporarily from an abusive situation. While he was in his previous home, he lived with 4 other dogs (male and female), kids, and a cat. He got along with the dogs but ha
