Irresistible! Pheona is a gorgeous buff and white female about 1 1/2 years young. Plenty of happiness awaits her adopter! This kitty is quick and agile and knows how to have a lot of fun with cat toys! She loves people and loves interactive play with the wand toys. Her special Jackpot toys are anything with feathers!
Pheona is utterly gorgeous with thick, lush and plush fur. Even though she's the picture of vibrant, good health she is a very special kitty in that she has tested FeLv positive. She is a very weak positive and at her last vet visit, we were told she could most likely become totally negative at her next test. She is happy, frisky, totally thriving with not even a sniffle! We know there's an adopter with an open heart who understands FeLv and would be happy to take this lovely girl home. Pheona has no special need other than an indoor only home with good nutrition and regular vet checkups. She could live the same life as any other pampered, indoor kitty and truly deserves to do so.

Luck has been with Pheona! She is currently in a foster home where she's patiently waiting for your call. Her foster mom adores her but knows she needs a young and active family who will treasure her forever. She's all about entertainment and has dreams of being a bed buddy someday. Don't make this lovely girl wait. Give her the Forever and Ever home she needs. Inquire today about arranging a meeting!

Litterbox trained. Pheona is spayed and fully vaccinated.
Adoption fee: $65.00.

About Lenoir County SPCA

About Our Shelter...

We are seeing increasingly growing numbers of family pets turned in due to the weak economy, vacations and moving plans, in addition to the strays and abandoned animals being brought in by Animal Control. We usually see a decrease in the number of adoptions much to the same reasons. Therefore, we will be continuously overcrowded and have many wonderful animals desperate for safe, loving homes.

IF YOU SEE an animal you are interested in, please call the shelter and see if it is still available. Animals are held a minimum of 72 hours. As space permits, animals are kept beyond their legal hold time. This website is updated weekly.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Shelter hours are Monday thru Saturday 12 noon to 4 p.m. and closed on Sundays.

Our Adoption Process...

There is always a constant flow of animals at the shelter, making it nearly impossible to keep an accurate web page. There are always several more at the shelter than what you may see here. I encourage you to visit the shelter. Adopting a pet is very easy. We have everyone fill out a questionaire, including a veterinary reference, just to make sure our animals get the best homes possible. There is a $100.00-115.00 donation for all dogs and a $45-65.00 dollar donation for cats, which includes a spay/neuter certificate, a rabies vaccine, worming and a distemper vaccine for the animal. You are required to take the animal into a vet within three to five days to insure its health and to get any additional shots.

ANIMALS FROM THIS SHELTER ARE REQUIRED TO BE SPAYED OR NEUTERED ONCE AGE APPROPRIATE. ANIMALS AT THE SHELTER ARE NOT ROUTINELY ALTERED PRIOR TO ADOPTION.

IF YOU ARE WITH A RESCUE:
We are very pleased and fortunate to on occasion be able to place some of our wonderful pets into all breed or breed specific rescue groups where they will be safe and cared for until their forever home is found. To ensure that our animals are placed into legitimate and proper rescue groups, there is a screening process for the organization. If you are with a rescue organization and are interested in one of our animals, please email Kris, our Rescue Coordinator.

You will be required to provide your organization's adoption contract, vet name and number so that verification can be obtained to condition of animals in your care, name of director or intake director, a brief overview of screening process, and any information about your organization you feel is necessary.
