My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tiger is a little boy dachshund dressed up like a tiger! His unique brindle costume is strikingly handsome. He weighs in at 29 pounds and is estimated to be 1 to 2 years old. Though he comes in a small package, he has a big personality. He needs a few minutes to warm up to you and he likes to do it initially at his pace. Once he gets to know you he is your best friend and will want to be with you all the time. He loves laying on his back and having his belly rubbed. He was found as a stray, so we don't have a history on him, but he gets along with everyone including kids and dogs both young and old. There are no cats in his foster home, but we suspect he'd be okay with them too.

Tiger loves playing with and running in the yard with his foster brother. When he is out on a walk he is great at meeting other people and dogs. Whether he's running in the backyard, going for walks or snuggling with you on the couch watching tv, he makes a great little companion. He will even share his food with his pet friends -- or probably even you, if you wanted! He is housebroken in his foster home and is very happy sleeping in his dog bed in your bedroom at night. He sleeps through the night and never really makes any noise. He is trustworthy in the home, even when home alone, and does not need to be crated. Basically Tiger is happy little guy who loves just being around you. If you're looking for a 'low' maintenance (pun intended) new family member, Tiger might just be your guy!

Tiger's adoption fee of $300 includes: vet exam, heartworm test, heartworm preventative, distemper combo vaccination, bordetella vaccination, rabies vaccination, routine deworming, flea & tick control, microchip and neutering.
