My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

COOPER is a 2 year old neutered black male Lab who weighs 70 pounds. Cooper was an owner surrender to the local humane society because his owner could no longer care for him properly. He had been previously living tied out on a logging chain. Cooper is a gorgeous boy and gets along with everyone -- other dogs, cats, and all people!! We have no history of Cooper living in a household with children so he is approved for ages 10 and up. Cooper loves to explore, looking for fun! Because of his adventurous nature, he thinks gates and fences are just an amusing challenge to get through. While he hasn't climbed or jumped a fence, he will figure out gates and find ways to go under a fence or gate. His escape history is most likely because of boredom and not being given the right amount of exercise and mental stimulation. In one instance, he escaped just to be with the dogs and humans he heard having fun on the other side of the fence. Cooper LOVES to play with other dogs and just wants to hang with them. While not necessary, having another canine buddy would be ideal for Cooper. Whether he goes to a home with a fence or not, Cooper must be supervised at all times when outside (always leashed if no fence). He is approved for kids 10+. More info soon!
