Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Smitty's journey with Home FurEver is one of love, healing, and resiliency. Smitty came to the rescue filled with scrapes, injuries, and infection. He was in so much pain, he would scream when you touched him. Following almost a month in the hospital, multiple surgeries, and lots of TLC, Smitty had begun to make a remarkable recovery. Since leaving the hospital, Smitty has flourished in his foster home. He completed the long and difficult treatment for heartworm and his body has become much stronger and healthier. What is truly amazing, is Smitty's spirit. Despite how he was treated before rescue, Smitty could not love people more. Within minutes of meeting a new person, Smitty is nuzzling his head into you, asking to share your love. He is good with other dogs, and loves bones, balls, and frisbees. He is crate and potty trained, and even knows how to "sit" and "shake." Any person who adopts this special boy will find themselves with more love in their home then they could have ever imagined.
