My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rico is a very nice and handsome 8 month old, 62 pound boy. He's really just a big puppy boy at only 8 months. He is reported to be HOUSE TRAINED and GOOD WITH KIDS so a family will be able to have him grow up with the kids and set a good example of caring for and loving a family pet. Rico's a little shy because he's new to the shelter (it's culture shock to go from a home to the loud, busy shelter where the pets don't get a lot of one on one love or attention) but he should warm up in no time once he realizes everyone there is there to help. Rico knows SIT, STAY, and SHAKE. He was left at the shelter on May 24th by his family (through no fault of his own) - animals are left at the shelter daily for a myriad of reasons, some understandable, some not quite so understandable. Let's not blame Rico - he's a great boy who DESERVES a committed owner. He is up to date with shots and will be neutered, heartworm tested, and micro-chipped upon adoption. Rico is in Run 835 (Really he should be in the PUPPY ROOM but he is a little too big for that.) Animals are often moved from Run to Run so if you come to find RICO bring his ID # 585585 and ask for help if you can't find him. Hurry in to see him!

When calling the shelter about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER, the names are oftentimes made up by volunteers.
