Are you someone who likes a good comedy? Perhaps someone who likes “Odie” from the Garfield comic strip? If so, then meet Roger! Roger is a curious and playful adult male dog who likes toys, kisses, and a good back scratching. His white face has a soulful look, standing out against his soft golden fur. But puppy at heart, rumor has it Roger loves a good ole tennis ball!  He's also a great walking companion. Very curious, Roger perks up his ears and likes to explore. Back at home, Roger is polite and well-mannered. When he’s trying to scoot in for a cuddle, he puts his ears back and smooshes up against his human for some quality love-time. Roger likes his people and exploring time better than playing with dogs, but he might enjoy the companionship of a polite lady dog. He is a mannerly and quiet guy who would prefer a home with calm and mature companions - canine and human. No rambunctious youngsters of either species, please! Please come and visit Roger – he hangs out at the shelter. Just come in and say “I’d like to meet Roger!” You won’t be sorry. He’s super friendly and his tail wags a mile a minute.

All Brother Wolf animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations before adoption (if species appropriate).
Application and counseling is required prior to all adoptions.

Individuals interested in adopting a puppy are STRONGLY encouraged to download and read this FREE ebook. Even if you've raised puppies in the past, this is an invaluable resource to help make your new addition successful!

Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label.

About Brother Wolf Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Brother Wolf Animal Rescue is known for their excellence in matching people with the best dog or cat that would suit their lifestyle. Today we are proud to have the largest NO-KILL shelter in Asheville. Brother Wolf Animal Rescue was established in 2006. We started off as a very small group of people, taking dogs and cats from gassing shelters in GA. We found wonderful homes for these animals but realized while we were saving these particular animals, we had a much bigger problem in our community that we needed to face. Perfectly healthy, highly adoptable animals in our community are being euthanized every day. Rescued pets are not broken or damaged goods. They are wonderful animals who have ended up homeless through no fault of their own.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our facility is located at 31 Glendale Avenue in Asheville, off Swannanoa River Rd, 1/2 mile from Lowe's. Open every day.

Our Adoption Process...

All adoptions will require a contract and discussions with one of our adoption counselors. Based on the needs of the particular animal, we reserve the right to require a home visit at the discretion of the adoption counselor. All our animals will be altered before adoption and up-to-date on standard vaccinations. We do collect an adoption fee.
