My foster mom says I'm famous. I was on Brother Wolf's Facebook page and am known as the cat who has cheated death! I was found outside someone's house, pretty much starving to death because I had such a serious Upper Respiratory Infection. This kind soul heard me, found me, and brought me to a place called the Brother Wolf Adoption Center.

The kind souls there wiped away the mucus from my eyes, nose and mouth. I could breathe again! Then they started slowly feeding me with extremely tasty food. I was so far gone, I couldn't eat on my own. Additionally, somewhere along the way, most of my teeth had been pulled out - I am all gums!

Gradually, I began to get better and feel stronger. Now I am eating on my own and am moving around like a regular cat! My foster mommy says I need some time to fatten up and grow my hair back around my face (the mucus had been so bad that my hair and skin was damaged).

My foster mommy says I should be a professional snuggler, I love hugs and kisses! I'm a voracious eater as well! I get along with most cats as long as they don't chase after me and want to fight. Dogs may be ok, but I'm not so sure yet. The puppy at my foster mommy's house likes to chase me a lot and I don't particularly care for being chased. A cat savvy dog may be okay though! Contact my foster mom today to learn more about me! Will I be your professional snuggler?

All Brother Wolf animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations before adoption (if species appropriate).
Application and counseling is required prior to all adoptions.

Individuals interested in adopting a puppy are STRONGLY encouraged to download and read this FREE ebook. Even if you've raised puppies in the past, this is an invaluable resource to help make your new addition successful!

Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label.

About Brother Wolf Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Brother Wolf Animal Rescue is known for their excellence in matching people with the best dog or cat that would suit their lifestyle. Today we are proud to have the largest NO-KILL shelter in Asheville. Brother Wolf Animal Rescue was established in 2006. We started off as a very small group of people, taking dogs and cats from gassing shelters in GA. We found wonderful homes for these animals but realized while we were saving these particular animals, we had a much bigger problem in our community that we needed to face. Perfectly healthy, highly adoptable animals in our community are being euthanized every day. Rescued pets are not broken or damaged goods. They are wonderful animals who have ended up homeless through no fault of their own.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our facility is located at 31 Glendale Avenue in Asheville, off Swannanoa River Rd, 1/2 mile from Lowe's. Open every day.

Our Adoption Process...

All adoptions will require a contract and discussions with one of our adoption counselors. Based on the needs of the particular animal, we reserve the right to require a home visit at the discretion of the adoption counselor. All our animals will be altered before adoption and up-to-date on standard vaccinations. We do collect an adoption fee.
