Honey has become a staff and volunteer favorite in the two years that she's been at Brother Wolf. She came to us after her owner's health problems left her unable to care for Honey and has been looking for her forever home since. Honey is a bit nervous with new people, but if properly introduced and given the proper space she can learn to trust her new human friends. She would thrive in an adult home without many strangers coming and going, and would prefer to be the only dog, though she does enjoy quick play dates with mellow dogs. She has been in a foster home with a ca and mostly ignored it. Honey is housetrained and rarely makes a mess in her kennel; if you visit the adoption center you will most likely find her curled up in her cushy bed or occasionally playing with a stuffed toy. She is great on leash- does not pull and likes to explore her surroundings. Give her a chewy treat and she'll love you for it! Once Honey is familiar with you she will love nothing more than getting her head scratched or accompanying you wherever you choose to lounge!

If you are interested in meeting Honey she will be waiting for you at the Adoption Center, come meet her today!

Individuals interested in adopting a puppy are STRONGLY encouraged to download and read this FREE ebook. Even if you've raised puppies in the past, this is an invaluable resource to help make your new addition successful!

Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label.

About Brother Wolf Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Brother Wolf Animal Rescue is known for their excellence in matching people with the best dog or cat that would suit their lifestyle. Today we are proud to have the largest NO-KILL shelter in Asheville. Brother Wolf Animal Rescue was established in 2006. We started off as a very small group of people, taking dogs and cats from gassing shelters in GA. We found wonderful homes for these animals but realized while we were saving these particular animals, we had a much bigger problem in our community that we needed to face. Perfectly healthy, highly adoptable animals in our community are being euthanized every day. Rescued pets are not broken or damaged goods. They are wonderful animals who have ended up homeless through no fault of their own.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our facility is located at 31 Glendale Avenue in Asheville, off Swannanoa River Rd, 1/2 mile from Lowe's. Open every day.

Our Adoption Process...

All adoptions will require a contract and discussions with one of our adoption counselors. Based on the needs of the particular animal, we reserve the right to require a home visit at the discretion of the adoption counselor. All our animals will be altered before adoption and up-to-date on standard vaccinations. We do collect an adoption fee.
