Why hello there, person of interest! Before we get started, I have to let you know that I am Feline Leukemia positive, or FeLV+. Now don’t you worry! All this means is that I have a few requirements for my care. One, I have to be indoor only. Two, I need to be an only cat unless you have another cat or cats who are FeLV+, or unless you can guarantee that we, along with our water, food, and litter boxes, can be kept separate at all times. Three, I need easy access to medical care as needed, because the nature of being FeLV+ is that I am more susceptible to illnesses. And that is the gist of it!
So, hello again, person of interest! My name is Kelsey, and did I mention I’m also vision impaired? It’s true! But there is no time to dote on these things. I haven’t, and look at me! I am a perfectly sweet, affectionate, and low maintenance cat who gets around great by herself! I have been working on my echolocation a little bit, though. Anyhoo, let me give you a little preview of what to expect if you adopt me. I’ll be laying in one of my favorite spots, and you will walk right up to me. We chat, you pet me a little, and we live happily ever after. Sounds pretty perfect, right? I just need some consistency, as you surely understand; just a couple of super simple things would be nice to have, like food and water that I don’t have to jump up to, and a snug hangout that I can feel the sides of, like a box or a tunnel. Oh, and I can go home to other pets as well, but if it is another cat, it must be gentle but social (and FeLV+, don’t forget!), and if it is a dog, it must be gentle and cat friendly. This is all pretty basic stuff, right? Not like I’m asking you to be my butler or anything. Or at least not more so than any other cat! So, if you would like to meet me, I will be at ReTail across the street from the Brother Wolf Adoption Center. Exciting, no? I’m excited.
All Brother Wolf animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations before adoption (if species appropriate).
Application and counseling is required prior to all adoptions.
Individuals interested in adopting a puppy are STRONGLY encouraged to download and read this FREE ebook. Even if you've raised puppies in the past, this is an invaluable resource to help make your new addition successful!
Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label.
