…Oh! Hello, there! Didn’t hear you come in. Strange, as cats have great hearing, but whatever. My name is Delgado, and I need to tell you first and foremost that I am Feline Leukemia Positive. I know, I know, you just walked in, but trust me, I’m gonna have a great life. I just have a few requirements I need to run through before we get started. One, I have to be indoor only. Two, I need to be an only cat unless you have another cat or cats with Feline Leukemia, or unless you can guarantee that we, along with our water, food, and litter boxes, can be kept separate at all times. Three, I need easy access to medical care as needed, because the nature of this thing is that I am more susceptible to illnesses. That’s all! Not that much, right?

Okay, now I can tell you all about me! So like I said, my name is Delgado. I live in the Thrift store right next to the Brother Wolf Adoption Center, which is great because I like having my own little space. If you come to visit me, I may hide at first, but I’m just weird like that. It won’t be long before I come out to see you, trust me. And that’s because I love being petted! I’ll ram my head into your outstretched hand I like being petted so much. So yes, very affectionate am I. I’m warming up to the whole toy situation as well, but if they’re loud or jingly or what have you, I am not about it. Tell you what, I’d do great with someone who likes my interactive style, but who has a quiet household. If you’ve got another cat (who’s Feline Leukemia Positive, of course) or a mellow dog, I think I’d do well with them, too. Hey, you know what? We should hang out sometime! Come over to my place at Second Chances Thrift right beside the Brother Wolf Adoption Center, and we can shoot the breeze.

All Brother Wolf animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations before adoption (if species appropriate).
Application and counseling is required prior to all adoptions.

Individuals interested in adopting a puppy are STRONGLY encouraged to download and read this FREE ebook. Even if you've raised puppies in the past, this is an invaluable resource to help make your new addition successful!

Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label.

About Brother Wolf Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Brother Wolf Animal Rescue is known for their excellence in matching people with the best dog or cat that would suit their lifestyle. Today we are proud to have the largest NO-KILL shelter in Asheville. Brother Wolf Animal Rescue was established in 2006. We started off as a very small group of people, taking dogs and cats from gassing shelters in GA. We found wonderful homes for these animals but realized while we were saving these particular animals, we had a much bigger problem in our community that we needed to face. Perfectly healthy, highly adoptable animals in our community are being euthanized every day. Rescued pets are not broken or damaged goods. They are wonderful animals who have ended up homeless through no fault of their own.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our facility is located at 31 Glendale Avenue in Asheville, off Swannanoa River Rd, 1/2 mile from Lowe's. Open every day.

Our Adoption Process...

All adoptions will require a contract and discussions with one of our adoption counselors. Based on the needs of the particular animal, we reserve the right to require a home visit at the discretion of the adoption counselor. All our animals will be altered before adoption and up-to-date on standard vaccinations. We do collect an adoption fee.
