Just look into my eyes and you’ll see that I’m a lovable boy who just needs a chance. Will you be the one to give me that chance?  I’ve worked very hard to learn how to be someone’s very special dog companion.  They say I’ve come a long way in being comfortable with people and that I’ve become a friendly and happy-go-lucky dog. The folks here have been working with me to teach me things I never learned before. You see, I spent two years living on a chain and just didn’t get a chance to learn some important skills. Once I had a chance to run and play I discovered how much fun that is!  I especially like to play in a fenced area with smaller, gentle dogs. And I like cats, too.  I have learned sit and shake with all those yummy treats they give me.  I’ve been working on my leash skills, as sometimes I get excited when I walk by other dogs, but they say I’m making good progress with this too.  I’m ready to move on to the next level, and I’d love to do that with you. I am looking for a quiet home with patient adults who can be aware when I am not comfortable and help me feel better. I can be a great companion, and I love going for car rides (sitting nicely in the back seat) and hikes. My friends here say I’m pretty handsome. I have long, soft ears that are dark brown on the ends and fade to a rich tan color on my head. Can’t you picture us together? I can!  Please call my new foster mom today!

All Brother Wolf animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations before adoption (if species appropriate).
Application and counseling is required prior to all adoptions.

Individuals interested in adopting a puppy are STRONGLY encouraged to download and read this FREE ebook. Even if you've raised puppies in the past, this is an invaluable resource to help make your new addition successful!

Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label.

About Brother Wolf Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Brother Wolf Animal Rescue is known for their excellence in matching people with the best dog or cat that would suit their lifestyle. Today we are proud to have the largest NO-KILL shelter in Asheville. Brother Wolf Animal Rescue was established in 2006. We started off as a very small group of people, taking dogs and cats from gassing shelters in GA. We found wonderful homes for these animals but realized while we were saving these particular animals, we had a much bigger problem in our community that we needed to face. Perfectly healthy, highly adoptable animals in our community are being euthanized every day. Rescued pets are not broken or damaged goods. They are wonderful animals who have ended up homeless through no fault of their own.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our facility is located at 31 Glendale Avenue in Asheville, off Swannanoa River Rd, 1/2 mile from Lowe's. Open every day.

Our Adoption Process...

All adoptions will require a contract and discussions with one of our adoption counselors. Based on the needs of the particular animal, we reserve the right to require a home visit at the discretion of the adoption counselor. All our animals will be altered before adoption and up-to-date on standard vaccinations. We do collect an adoption fee.
