If you come visit me at the Adoption Center, don’t take offense if I don’t come off my perch to see you. As I am the queen of my domain, you must understand that my throne is of utmost importance to me. You may call me Amber. I am a cat for whomever wishes to join me in royalty. You will undoubtedly be worthy of my companionship in my various duties as queen, such as napping and snuggling. As you are surely aware by now, I am very articulate, a skill I was happy to develop as a more talkative member of my species. My meows deserve to be heard, and so I look forward to our future conversations. Our palace as I envision it will be furnished with the finest amenities: scratchboards of the highest-quality cardboard, luscious feather tail toys, and a comfortable resting place for yours truly. I expect to spend all of my time here, as I know nothing about the outdoors and do not wish to know anything about it. Company is welcome, but, as a fairly solitary queen, I must ask that no small children inhabit our palace. Other cats will be tolerated so long as they are willing to defer to me. My gentleness is yours to behold, and so, if what I have described sounds like paradise, then I implore you to visit the Brother Wolf Adoption Center. I will be waiting for you on my temporary throne

All Brother Wolf animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations before adoption (if species appropriate).
Application and counseling is required prior to all adoptions.

Individuals interested in adopting a puppy are STRONGLY encouraged to download and read this FREE ebook. Even if you've raised puppies in the past, this is an invaluable resource to help make your new addition successful!

Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label.

About Brother Wolf Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Brother Wolf Animal Rescue is known for their excellence in matching people with the best dog or cat that would suit their lifestyle. Today we are proud to have the largest NO-KILL shelter in Asheville. Brother Wolf Animal Rescue was established in 2006. We started off as a very small group of people, taking dogs and cats from gassing shelters in GA. We found wonderful homes for these animals but realized while we were saving these particular animals, we had a much bigger problem in our community that we needed to face. Perfectly healthy, highly adoptable animals in our community are being euthanized every day. Rescued pets are not broken or damaged goods. They are wonderful animals who have ended up homeless through no fault of their own.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our facility is located at 31 Glendale Avenue in Asheville, off Swannanoa River Rd, 1/2 mile from Lowe's. Open every day.

Our Adoption Process...

All adoptions will require a contract and discussions with one of our adoption counselors. Based on the needs of the particular animal, we reserve the right to require a home visit at the discretion of the adoption counselor. All our animals will be altered before adoption and up-to-date on standard vaccinations. We do collect an adoption fee.
