Meet King and his sister Princessa! Kitty City took these kitties in when their owners, after eight years, decided not to keep them anymore! As you can imagine, this was a huge life change for these sweet kitties, so King and Princessa must to go to their forever home together as they are a very bonded pair. Trust us, with these kitties, two is better than one because they're both so unique!
King (aka Brother) is a total sweetheart and enjoys giving “kitty-love head butts!' He also loves, Loves, LOVES to curl up on your lap the instant you sit down. He doesn't realize that he's roughly the size of a small dinosaur: he just wants to snuggle, ok? When there's no person available to sit on, you'll likely find him taking a nap on your bed or in a window sill (window open, please, he loves laying against the screen and watching the wildlife)! Also - don't worry - if you forget how cute he is he'll just roll over, stretch out, and give a little dinosaur roar (which sounds more like a mouse squeak, oddly enough) just to remind you. He's been known to roll right off the table a time or two doing this, but - ya know - he meant to do that.
Princessa (aka Sister) also loves to cuddle: especially at bedtime, in your bed, snuggled in your arms, giving you kisses while holding your hand with her paw. If you're not overwhelmed by the extreme cuteness of that, we would be very surprised ;-) …Princessa really loves to talk to you and let you know what she's thinking: if you can't understand her, well, that's OK! Her tongue doesn't always go back in her mouth completely, either, so don't be offended...it's just how she rolls.
Brother and Sister both enjoy Taste of the Wild dry food, and their tummies prefer not to stray from this deliciously affordable and tasty brand. We once believed Princessa had chronic IBD, until it was discovered her former food was causing the gut issue. She is now healthy and will not need daily medication as long as she stays with Taste of the Wild, and that’s worthy of a serious celebration in the kitty rescue world! Her foster home will even include a new large bag of Taste of the Wild with adoption, along with a list of rescue-friendly stores locally and online where it can be purchased.
These kitties have been through a major life change, including moving into a home where they weren't the only kitties anymore. Though they live alongside the resident kitties, and a few other fosters here and there, it's definitely not what they would choose. Sister would prefer, and King agrees, that they would love to be the only kitties in their new home. It's what they were used to for their first eight years, and they'd like to go back to that calmer way of life.
You won't often see these two at the adoption center as it's a bit stressful for them both, but mainly Sister: obviously she's named Princessa for a reason! If you're interested in this hilariously fun and exceedingly sweet duo, our team will put you in touch with their foster home. With an approved application, you can arrange to visit Brother and Sister in their home environment. If you're looking for a loving and unique kitty to bring into your life, why not double the fun and give these amazing kitties a chance? They will bring more joy and laughter into your everyday life than you can possibly imagine!
King and Princessa were born approximately June 2, 2008, and the adoption fee for both together is $82.50. Each is altered, up to date on shots and worming, tested negative for feline leukemia and is entitled to a free well exam from Mariposa Veterinary Wellness Center.
