Facts about Barrett

  • Breed: Pomeranian
  • Color: Black
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
  • Sex: Male
  • ID#: 8080306-D150003

Adoption Donation: $200 Weight: 15 lbs. Age: 9 years Health: Good. He is allergic to fleas so a good flea preventative is strongly recommended. He did have a toe surgically removed due to overgrown nails, but it has absolutely no affect on him what so ever. Temperament: Super sweet little boy with a great personality. Would make a good lap dog or walking partner. He loves his scratches!!!! If you stop scratching behind his ears he'll howl at you. That's right, he's a howling pomeranian. It's the funniest thing I've ever seen. He'll talk back and forth with you too, which is fun on those lonely days when you don't have a person to converse with. He'd make a great companion dog for a senior. Favorite Activities: Sleeping, eating, getting some love, going for walks. Where did he come from: His owner passed away and he ended up at the Garland shelter somehow in very bad shape. Horrible flea allergies, so bad it made him loose lots fur on his back end. Some of his nails had not been cut in so long they grew into his pads, and he had to have the toe amputated. You can tell he was very loved at one time, and he didn't understand what the heck he was doing in that scary shelter environment. Ambitions: To find the perfect furrever home Additional information:   ADOPTION APPLICATION:   Email to request a printable application.   ------Please remember our group is made of only volunteers all of whom have full time jobs, foster fur-kids, and families of their own, so please be patient.---------

About Recycled Poms and Schipperkes

About Our Rescue Group...

We began in 1998, and have continued to rescue purebred dogs previously used as breeders in Puppy Mills, dogs surrendered by their owners, lost and abandoned dogs on death row at local shelters and a few dogs found roaming the streets. We house, feed, rehabilitate, socialize, seek medical attention for, spay or neuter each dog rescued, but mostly, we give them love.

Please join our cause! We can't do it alone.

We are run entirely by volunteers who give of their time to help find these precious pups their forever homes! Please consider joining us in our fight to find "furever homes" for these pups! We can always use volunteers, FOSTER HOMES!!!!, and donations, including quality dog food, healthy treats (like BULLY STICKS!) belly bands for boy dogs, exercise pens, pee pads, collars, leashes, and Dog shampoo

Our Adoption Process...

Adopting one of our dogs requires that you fill out an adoption application, have your references checked, and let us visit your home.

The required minimum adoption donation is $250. That amount covers the spay/neuter, annual vaccinations, heartworm testing, and one month of heart worm preventative.

We spend about $300.00 just to treat the pommies that are heartworm positive. We have invested more than $1000.00 in several of our pommies--treating them and kenneling them. Kenneling cost $16 a day per dog. We need foster homes!
