Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Squeak is an active, playful and puppy-ish 14-month-old, 52-pound, glossy black female pit bull terrier looking for a loving guardian.
Squeak LOVES other dogs and would be happiest in a home with another dog to pal around with. She regularly goes to doggie daycare and gets along with all dogs including the tiniest teacup Chihuahua. She has not yet been cat-tested.
This fun girl is soft, loving and sweet; her tail is always happily wagging. Because she is still in her puppy chewing stage, she is crated when her foster mom can’t keep an eye on her. Squeak can easily jump a four-foot fence, so if you have a fenced-in yard, it would need to be six-foot high to keep her safely inside. Squeak is good with people of all ages including children. She knows the command sit and takes treats ever so gently from your fingers.
She is housebroken, rides nicely in the car, and walks well on leash when wearing her gentle leader head harness.
Squeak is extremely healthy, spayed, de-wormed, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped, heartworm-tested and on monthly preventative. Her adoption fee of $200 benefits the rescued dogs of Friends of Animal Care and Control. To meet and possibly adopt Squeak, please contact her foster mom Glenda at ssssnuggles@att.net or 708-447-4928. She is being fostered in Lyons, Illinois.
