My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

THIS IS A COURTESY POST ONLY - PLEASE SEE DIRECT CONTACT INFORMATION BELOW!

Bosco is handsome, mellow, lovable – one and one/half years old, all 87 pounds of him are endearing, low-maintenance, and easily cared for. In addition to meals, treats, and leisurely walks, Bosco flourishes on belly rubs, lolling around being loved, and lounging in his kiddie pool.

He is well-behaved and is responsive to commands. If reprimanded, Bosco retires to his bed for a while before returning to your side to pout until he's told all is well and (of course) is given a belly rub.

Before coming into rescue, Bosco stayed at a temporary foster who says that Bosco was very submissive toward their small children and other dogs. We believe he is suited to a family with older children (simply due to his large size and habit of flopping on the unsuspecting) and perhaps one submissive dog as a companion, with a large and very secure yard to play in.

Bosco has received a full dental (including removal of some broken teeth), and was successfully treated for tick fever. His least favorite things are noisy leaf blowers and thunder, but he calms down when safely indoors in his crate. (He is adept at escaping the yard if frightened while left alone outdoors.)

Since Bosco cannot tolerate high temperatures, he must always have access to the air-conditioned indoors. Although he is not a fan of the hose, he is tolerant of being bathed when necessary.
