My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is TRIXIE. As you can see from my picture, I am a red smooth dachshund with a sweet demeanor. I am 7-1/2 years old and am even-tempered and very loving. I would be OK with older kids. I love to burrow under the covers with my toy. And, I’m an expert at using the doggie door.

I’m quite healthy and all up to date on the medicals (rabies, bordetella, DHPP, Advantage, spayed) and I’m looking particularly nice with my recent grooming and pedicure. I come with a new leash and collar set, toys and blanket, dog food and a free exam card for your next appointment for me with our Doxie vet at Best Friends Veterinary Medical Center.

Perhaps if you are not quite ready or able to adopt, you might be willing to help our rescues pass their time in rescue by donating toys and long lasting chew bones. We are also in desperate need of clothes washing soap, disinfectant and Lysol spray. PLEASE HELP. Any assistance would be appreciated!
