Born to a dachshund mommy, Corbit must have gotten his height from a mystery dad with gorgeous blue eyes. This scruffy blue-eyed guy has the rugged good looks of a wire-haired terrier type and the grace of a gazelle.
With the vigor of a herding breed, Corbit acts as a guardian to his people, monitorlong the door and fenced yard for danger. He is loving to people he meets, but he does have some pre-requisites for those entering the home. He likes his owner to first show approval and then asks for his space to quietly observe.
Corbit is extremely affectionate, but not pushy; he simply asks the same of new people. When he's ready, he'll stand/sit/lay down for petting for as long as his friends are willing. He is an eager learner and loves to please; he is currently enrolled in unlimited obedience and socialization classes through Frogs to Dogs, which are transferrable to his adopters at no cost!
Corbit loves being outside and rambling around a yard. He also loves running and backpacking and will wear a pack himself. He enjoys fetch while indoors, but sticks to exploring when outside. He is a loyal, snuggly sweetheart with a few quirks that are definitely manageable. He just needs his human(s) to kind of match his personality. He's an introvert with hidden rewards to offer whomever chooses this quietly sweet soul.
