Hi!  My name is Dunker and people tell me I am a super duper dog with the personality of a Lab and really, really sweet.  What do you think?  In case you want to know more about me besides how super duper I am, here you go:

1.  I love people.  I like to stay right by my people, even when I am outside and not on a leash.

2.  I am pretty young so I like to be active and hoping my new family likes to run around outside and throw me a ball.  I'm a good snuggler too and know how to keep my foster mommy warm at night.  I hear my foster family laugh and say I am a 70lb lap dog.  I don't know why that's so funny.

3.  My foster family is the best and introduced me to a group of people (Tenasity Dog Training) who played with me to help me with my manners.  I think I heard them say it's called training.  I heard them say whoever adopts me gets to have the trainer come to their house and work with them a couple of times, all for just adopting me.  Training or whatever it's called, I had fun and learned a lot.

4.  About other animals....I really just want to be yours and only yours, so no other dogs please.  My foster family has a cat and boy do I love him.  I mean I really want to play with him, so I chase him.  My foster family knows I just want to play, but I don't think their cat likes that too much.  Probably best to be in a house with no cats either, unless they would not care about me and my interest in them.

5.  I am 100% housebroken and I love my crate.  I've never had an accident in my foster family's house.  I also understand I need to get in my crate when you have to leave the house, and I am totally good with that.  I would love for you to leave me a bone to chew on, but that's really about it.

I am ready for my forever family and I'm hoping it's you!

Love, Dunker

About Doggie Harmony

About Our Rescue Group...

Doggie Harmony is a metro-Atlanta dog rescue group focused on finding the right homes for dogs in foster care or belonging to owners who wish to re-home them. Our core objective is to place these dogs before they are turned over to animal control facilities, where they may be euthanized. Lastly, Doggie Harmony supports spay/neuter, wellness, and training to help keep or place dogs. This includes helping people find low cost resources and/or lending financial support where there's a qualified need.

Donate to Our Rescue Group...

Doggie Harmony is an approved non-profit (501c3) organization, so your donations are tax-deductible. If you would like donate, you may direct funds to our address below, or to our PayPal account at donate@doggieharmony.org.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Doggie Harmony does not hold regular adoption events, so watch our website for special events. We also encourage you to contact us about pets you may be interested is, as we are always willing to bring them to meet you.

We do not have a shelter, so we are only able to support animals with foster homes or donations toward short-term boarding.

Our Adoption Process...

Those interested in our adoptable pets are asked to complete an application that will allow us to assess whether a particular pet is good fit for their household and lifestyle. If it is, we will then bring the pet to their home for a meeting. If all goes well, the adoption contract is initiated and a fee is collected, but held for two weeks to ensure the adoption is a success. Our fees vary depending on each pet and what has been invested medically and behaviorally to ensure they are adoption-ready.
