Description: Monty is approximately 1 year old and has been in rescue since he was just four weeks old. He was on the euthanasia list at the humane society due to an upper respiratory infection and being too small to go up for adoption. He has been living in a foster home with other kitties since then and loves to play with his sister Reese. He is a fiesty little guy who will demand attention and pets from his people. He absolutely loves to be cuddled, snuggled, held and carried around. The more attention he can get, the happier he is!! He has been treated for his URI but continues to be a very stuffy kitty. He has had cultures and it appears he just has chronic sinusitis/allergies. He's seen specialists now and is on occasional medications which have relieved his symptoms quite a bit! If you have room in your home for this special little guy please send an email - his medications will be provided for his life by the rescue. He also could benefit from a long term foster home alternatively (either with or without his sister). As a special needs kitty he only has a $25 adoption donation

Health information: All cats and kittens will be spayed or neutered, Felv/Fiv tested, receive vaccinations appropriate for age, preventative deworming, and microchipping prior to adoption

About Saving One Life

About Our Rescue Group...

Saving One Life is a completely foster based, volunteer run, no kill rescue. Our motto is that although we can't save the world, it makes a world of difference to the ones we do save.

We primarily work with cats and kittens of all ages. We frequently take in "behavioral cases" including semi-ferals needing rehabilitation. We do take in purebred cats of all kinds but specialize in the Cornish Rex and Devon Rex. We occasionally have small dogs to medium dogs available. The majority of our animals come from the euthanasia list at the pound or off the rescue list at the humane society. We do have occasional owner surrenders, but we prefer to help those most in need first.

If you find a litter of kittens or your cat accidently got pregnant - please contact us if you are able to foster them. We cannot take in more animals without foster homes. All supplies and vet care will be taken care of - all you have to do is open your home and heart to them until they can find homes of their own!

All of our cats & kittens are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, blood tested for felv/fiv, dewormed, and microchipped. Adoption fee's range depending on the animal's age and breed. All adoption fees assist other animals in our care - we do not have any paid employees. We are a completely no kill group that provides sanctuary to any "unadoptable" animals that come into our care including hospice care. Our animals all live in homes with foster parents so that they can be acclimated to all sorts of situations and so that they can live as a part of a family until finding their "forever family" instead of in kennels or cages.

Come Meet Our Pets...

A few of our fabulous cats and kittens can be seen at 2860 E Germann Rd, Chandler, AZ 85286. Call the store or email if you are looking to see if a particular one may be there, otherwise with a completed application we are happy to schedule an appointment with any of the animals in foster homes.

When contacting to find out about a cat/kitten emails are ALWAYS preferred and will get a much faster response. If you are leaving a phone message please speak clearly, leave your name, the name of the animal you are interested in, phone number and a brief message.

Our Adoption Process...

Our adoption process begins with our application which can be found at After you submit an application please expect a response within 48 hours - please email if you do not get a response in that time frame. We may ask for a phone interview as well if we have additional lengthy questions. We may require home visits for special needs animals on a case by case basis. If you visit a kitty at Petsmart and want to adopt please either submit an application online or in person at the store with one of our volunteers.

We will adopt to out of state adopters but we do NOT ship animals under any conditions. You must come to us in person to meet the animal and make sure it is a mutual match. We have had many adopters come from the states around us and drive or fly with their new family member back.
