Groot's Story...
This adorable and petite cuddle monster is GROOT. Groot and his fellow “Guardian of the Galaxy” siblings came to Tenth Life in April 2016 after being born to a stray cat.

From the first day, the entire family was very affectionate and adventurous. Groot was the second to originally greet his foster Momma and the first to crawl up into her lap for a cuddle, once she met them for the first time. Just a few weeks later, Groot and his siblings are doing wonderfully. While all four siblings (Rocket, Groot, Drax & Quill) have enjoyed playing and cuddling together from the start, it’s always been obvious that Groot and Rocket have an extra special bond as one would expect. They are two peas in a lil pod that absolutely love to explore, play, eat and sleep together. Wherever one goes, the other is sure to be close behind. Groot continues to be the first to snuggle up with his foster Mommy for a nap and also loves to curl up next to his brother Rocket, in addition to cuddling with the resident adult cats in the home. He is an equal opportunity cuddler and lover!

Groot is incredibly affectionate and is always close behind his foster Mommy like a little duckling. He gets along fabulously with the adult resident cats in the home as well as the other foster cats. Groot is very outgoing and would easily adapt well in any home. Due to the close bond that Rocket and Groot share, it’s a requirement that the two remain as a pair and find a furver family together. These two would make the purrfect addition to any home and would adapt easily to any situation. Please consider adopting this adorable pair today.

Approx. DOB 2/15/16

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Groot, a St. Louis Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in St. Louis, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in St. Louis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in St. Louis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a St. Louis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in St. Louis paves the way for another one to be saved.
