Greg's Story...
My name is Greg. I'm 3 months old and weigh about 25 lbs. I am a shepherd mix boy and I have one blue eye and one brown eye. They say I am very sweet, but very shy so you will need to be very patient with me. I will come to play, but I'm still a little scared. I just need the right family to give me the reassurance that I need. I just got neutered and have my shots so I am ready to go to my new forever home. Won't you come and see me? I promise to work hard to be the boy I know I can be!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Greg, a Urbana German Shepherd Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Urbana, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog puppy from a breeder in Urbana.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Urbana already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Urbana breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Urbana paves the way for another one to be saved.
