Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Monica (and her mate Puritan) were rescued from the freezing cold, winter streets of Detroit along with their eight newborn puppies. Monica was feral, and has slowly adjusted to her new indoor life in a safe foster home. Her puppies found furever homes easily, but Monica needed a lot of work and adjusting to do before she could be ready to find a furever home. Unfortunately, Monica was also heartworm positive and had to undergo treatment for this horrible, preventable disease. This has been completed and she is completely healthy.Monica is making progress every week at her foster home where she is becoming more trusting of people. Monica will require a home with another dog as she still feels most secure when she has another dog around her. She will need adopters who have the experience and patience to continue socializing her and continue her training. If interested in meeting her please email our rescue.
