I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.
I'm a Velcro Dog!
Jenny was born about January 10, 2015 and may top out in the 35 lb. range. She is a tall, lanky, girl and a gorgeous mix of brown and black. Jenny had a bit of trouble leaving her family and their 3 year old child who Jenny seldom let out of her site, she was excellent with the child. Jenny has settled in and decided she really does love all us new humans, but we need to caution that she may need some warm up time at first. She is excellent with other dogs, good in the car and good on leash. It is a good idea to keep Jenny on leash or in a secure fenced as she used to escape her small, city, fenced in back yard and she would also escape a crate so one of those heavier made plastic crates will be best for her although we've not seen much behavior needing a crate. In addition she has not escaped the yard here that has 5' livestock wire around the back and 6' chain link in the front. She also enjoys lounging in the wire crate on my desk a long timer isn't curled up inside. She does love to be near us, we feel another dog would be a benefit and a human around much of the time. She is a major cuddler so if you want your dog to stay on the floor this girl is not for you. The Adoption Fee for this dog is $225.00.
Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, worming & flea control - a 'complete' pet. We accept CASH or Visa/Mastercard ONLY.
Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive - you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility.
YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YEARS OF AGE TO ADOPT A DOG FROM JOYFUL RESCUES
We keep our pet list as up-to-date as possible. As soon as a pet is adopted, it is removed from the list. If a pet is still showing, it is still available for adoption.
Our primary goals here at Joyful Rescues are to re-home pets and save them from becoming homeless in the future, educate the public on pet care and spaying/neutering to control the pet overpopulation, to spay/neuter every pet before they leave us and spay/neuter as many pets, belonging to the public, as possible within our means.
