Trudy's Story...
Remember the video of all the little dogs in a single kennel at Wasco shelter we posted last week? There was a Chihuahua that was growling and baring teeth the entire time...well that was our terrified little Trudy! When she arrived we couldn't even go near her she was so frightened then within hours she felt safe and started hoping around playfully, wagging her tail and giving out kisses. We just love this little one! Trudy is a young girl, we think a year or two. She is a tiny little thing with the cutest smile and curly tail!

05/16/2016 Foster update, "Trudy (Tru) is doing well. She's a little nervous still but that's Understandable. New house, New people and new dogs is A lot to adjust to. She is very sweet and loves to be pet and Held. She'd make a great lap dog. She's also really cute" if interested in meeting Trudy please go to fill an adoption application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Trudy, a Sacramento Chihuahua puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Sacramento, or seeking a Chihuahua puppy from a breeder in Sacramento.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sacramento already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sacramento breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sacramento paves the way for another one to be saved.
