Snickers's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, and not good with kids.

Snickers's Story...
Snickers is a 7 year old, 12+ pound, neutered male, purebred Yorkshire Terrier born Dec. 5, 2008.  He has lived with his original owner since he was a puppy.  His owner has recently surrendered him to Yorkie Rescue of America as her travel schedule makes it difficult for her to provide Snickers with the type of home life he deserves.  Snickers is very well behaved, house trained and kind of a loner.  He is OK around other dogs he just doesn't play with them and can be toy and bone possessive.  He would be a perfect dog for a single person or couple without other pets.  We don't recommend Snickers to a family with small children he sees them as competition for the love of his adult person.  He loves to go for a walk and does not pull on the leash. If you have off leash areas he stays with his person and does not wander off. He doesn't mind being groomed but he hates going to the vet!  Snickers is in good health, he just had a complete physical with blood work and a dental cleaning.  He is microchipped and ready to go to his new home.  Snickers is being fostered in West Linn, OR a suburb of Portland.  If you are interested in meeting Snickers please fill out an application at www.yorkierescueofamerica.org
His adoption fee is $350.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Snickers, a Albany Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier for sale in Albany, or seeking a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Albany.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Albany already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Albany breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier breeders who help with Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Albany paves the way for another one to be saved.
