Mandi-Adopted!'s Story...
Mandi is one of the worst cases of abuse and neglect that Home FurEver has ever come across. But her rescue and recovery journey is also one of the most inspiring and amazing we've followed. At the time of her rescue, she was weak, anemic, emaciated, oozing from multiple infected wounds, and had the worst case of mange we've ever seen. Her condition and wounds were indicative of having been used as a bait dog for months on end. And she was just a pup, under a year old. Despite this horrendous past, Mandi is a happy, sweet, friendly, cuddly dog who loves her human and furry foster family members. She's smart, playful, and a total joy.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mandi-Adopted!, a Detroit Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Detroit, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Detroit.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Detroit already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Detroit breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Detroit paves the way for another one to be saved.
