Harley's Story...
Miss Harley is just the sweetest girl you will ever meet. We call her a "Bagel" Which is a Beagle/Basset mix. She was surrendered by her owners due to financial hardship. Harley is about 4 years young, spayed, up to date on all of her shots and heart worm negative. She has been truly a joy to have here at the rescue. She gets along with all the dogs and cats and is the only dog here who doesn't bark at the horses all day! She is crate trained and house broken and very ready for her forever home. She's a big girl, about 50 pounds
Adoption Fee is $450.00

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Harley, a Brattleboro Basset Hound/Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound/Beagle for sale in Brattleboro, or seeking a Basset Hound/Beagle dog from a breeder in Brattleboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brattleboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brattleboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound/Beagle breeders who help with Basset Hound/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brattleboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
