Squirt's Info...

I am already neutered, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Squirt's Story...
Squirt is a young male Doxie, about 1 year old, who was found lost near a group of home, and it took over 4 weeks to catch him in live dog trap. He is very loving but initially shy around new people. He is good with other dogs, but prefers small to medium sized dogs. Squirt will either need a fenced yard or will always need to be leash walked with a harness as he could be a flight risk again if he gets scared. He is healthy and ready now for his new home where he can bond with someone who will love him forever!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Squirt, a Greensburg Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Greensburg, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Greensburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Greensburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Greensburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Greensburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
