My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Babs is a beautiful1-year old heeler/cattle dog mix. She is small in stature but big in personality. She is a sweet girl that loves attention, and has a high drive and tons of energy. She loves to play and is good with other dogs, however she has had some issues with her foster brothers and sisters when she gets wound up (we are working with her on channeling her energy in appropriate ways). A household with another dog would be ok, but I would not recommend her with a shy or submissive dog. She is ok with kids, but not an ideal environment for her as she wants to herd and can nip. Her ideal home would be a single active person or a couple that will give her lots of physical and mental stimulation, as well as setting rules and boundaries for her right from the start. Typical to her breed she does have a fixation on moving things, such as bikes, lawn mowers, etc, but when working with a trainer she got over this very quickly. She even ran along side a bike in a full run and had a blast doing it! She is the perfect dog for someone that is active and wants a great running, hiking, biking partner and an awesome friend! If you would like to meet her and hear more about her unique personality please call Donna at 630-892-1658. Her adoption fee is $200.
