Pumpkin's Story...
Hi my name is Pumpkin (Punkin)! I am so ready to be loved by someone! My foster mommy had a little bit of a hard time turning a blind eye to my exotic beauty so she was diligent enough to rescue me from Animal Services thanks to St. Francis. I've had a rough life so far and I'm ready for my furever dream home! I was really sick when I arrived at animal services and almost didn't make past the dreaded you know what day but thank goodness I did. I'm petite, I have a very sweet little meow and am very hungry for belly rubs!!! I am also a stuff toy and sock thief but that's because I love to play. I'm not too much into being held but I warm up quickly as soon as I know can fully trust you and you won't abandon me. Please take me home. Love, Punkin

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pumpkin, a Tampa Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Tampa, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Tampa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tampa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tampa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tampa paves the way for another one to be saved.
