Our Adoption Process...
ALTHOUGH THESE ANIMALS ARE NOT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION THROUGH THE KING GEORGE ANIMAL RESCUE LEAGUE, they are available through the King George Animal Control. Because of the spay/neuter laws, in order to adopt from our pound, you must live in King George or a surrounding county. If you would like to adopt an animal and do not live in our area, you would need to contact a rescue group and apply to adopt through their organization. Any animal that has already been spayed/neutered, may be adopted by anyone. NOTE: Special rules apply to the adoption of Pitbull and Pitbull-Mix dogs. Please contact King George Animal Control at 540-775-2120 for details. If you would like to help the animals at the King George Animal Control shelter, you may make a donation to KGARL through Paypal. You do not need to have a Paypal account to do so. Your money will help us get the animals the proper vaccinations and vet work that they desperately need, and also help with pull fees and transportation costs. King George Animal Control is located at 11377 Citizens Way, King George, VA 22485. This is a kill shelter and all animals need homes or rescues. If you have an interest in an animal please call the shelter at 540-775-2120. The King George Animal Control is a pound, and they do not keep these furry creatures very long. Please contact King George Animal Control for their hours. Formerly scheduled hours have changed and are subject to change in the future. Please know that King George Animal Control http://www.petfinder.com/shelters/VA258.html has rules for adoption which are outlined in the following paragraphs.
