My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This dog is being fostered in Dallas TX and must be adopted within the Dallas, North Central Texas or the southern Oklahoma area.

NAME: Kip
GENDER: Male (Neutered)
AGE: Born March 12, 2016
WEIGHT: Currently 2-3 pounds (final weight estimated at 5-6 pounds)
DOGS/CATS: Great with other small dogs, Unknown with cats
CHILDREN: Gets along with children

Meet adorable Kip. Kip is a joyful puppy who will be ready for a forever home in the early June time frame.

In mid-February, CRT received a call from a local shelter asking if we would take a pregnant Chihuahua, Mindy in to our program. We were glad to do so, and on March 12th Mindy had a litter of four puppies (3 boys and a girl). Kip is one of those puppies.

As we write this near the end of April, our CRT puppies are 6 weeks old and had their first round of shots on Monday. They are eating solid food and playing hard. They love humans and they love their foster 4 legged brothers and sisters. They are all working on their potty training. They are very smart, very playful and 100% adorable.

All our our puppies would love to have other dogs to play with. They would also do great as an only dog as long as they would get activity and attention. The puppies can be adopted together, or separately. They all love people and should get along great with children.

At 6 weeks old, each puppy is between 2-3 pounds. We estimate they will be about 5-6 pounds when fully grown.

The puppies still have a bit of growing to do, and they have to have a few more rounds of puppy shots. They will then be available for adoption in the early June time frame. They are being fostered in the DFW area. We are looking for forever families in the North Texas / Southern Oklahoma area. Additionally, if you are interested in fostering until they are ready for adoption (even if you feel you may be a "foster failure"), please fill out an adoption application on our website.

If you are looking for love and joy in your life - won't you consider Kip?

Kip will be neutered in the next few weeks. He is micro chipped, will be up-to-date on shots, HW negative. and on heartworm prevention. He will be ready to join a loving family - could that family be yours?

This dog is a CRT rescue. Reference checks, adoption contract and $225 adoption fee required. .

After filling out an adoption application, please email DFWCoordinator@chihuahua-rescue.com if you are interested in this dog Please be sure to read about our adoption process and then fill out an adoption application before emailing the contact person.
