MEOW! I'm Portia, the biggest love bug in the world. My favorite thing is to be held and snuggled. I will crawl right up on your shoulders, purr and love you right back. Looking for a lap cat? Look no further. I will curl up in your lap and happily stay there for as long as you like. Who says cats aren't affectionate? I will greet you with a great big MEOW the moment you come through the door. I am the quintessential companion animal in the sense that I love being around people. I am great with both kids and adults. The more the merrier. You will not find another cat quite like me. I don't mind walking on a leash and I am proud to represent the Feline Leukemia Positive (FeLV) kitties of the world. With regular medical care, I will live a happy, playful life. Won't you consider opening up your home to me? This looks like the beginning of a beautiful friendship. MEOW!
I was scheduled to be euthanized, but San Antonio Pets Alive! saved me and now they are helping me find the forever, loving home that I have never known.
I am currently located at San Antonio Pets Alive!, and I am in a foster home. By adopting me, you not only give me a new leash on life; you also save the life of the additional cat who can be rescued from euthanasia and placed in foster care.
If you are interested in adopting, please email email@example.com with Pet name and ID#. Please allow us up to 24 hours to respond as all fosters work with us on a volunteer basis.

Other organizations are rescue groups run by busy volunteers who may take a while to reply.
