Hi! My name’s Heidi-Carmen, my Foster Mama just calls me Carmen, after a special doggie angel, Carmen of the Gilbert23. I’m a 7lb Chihuahua Terrier Mix, and I’m approximately 3 years old. I just have to tell you that I’m so happy to be an AZCR Chihuahua now, cause I was pretty sad and scared when I was taken from my home on the reservation, and brought to the Pima Animal Shelter. The nice volunteers there were very nice to me though, they would hold me, and love me, and they even took me to a nearby lake and read me stories, I really liked that. But the nights in the loud shelter when they left, were very scary, I didn’t sleep very well. Then my foster Mama came, and took me to her home where I had the BEST SLEEP EVER!! I also have 3 foster siblings, that I’m getting to know, as well as a kitty! I’m comfortable with them all, but my favorite thing to do is snuggle near, or on my foster Mama & Daddy. I’m still a little shy when I first meet new people, but if they go slow, I love to be held and petted. I’m looking for a quiet forever home, preferably with no small children, or big dogs. I love to be close to my humans, and follow them around, but am also content to sleep in my crate with the TV on when they leave the house. I get so happy when they come back, that my tail goes a mile a minute! I also make an excellent travel buddy, and love to ride in the car. I am a little afraid of leashes, so foster mama is working on that with me, but she also has a fun sling to carry me in that I LOVE, cause it means I get to be in my favorite place, close to her heart. I have lots of love to give, won’t you consider making your home my forever? I’ll be staying with my foster family for a few weeks, as they tell me I still need to be spayed, whatever that means.
