Its Hard to think of his rescue. He was saved at a laundromat. Where a thoughtless attendant hit him and verbally insulted those who felt sorry for him and offered food. One lady stood up to the bully and told her off. She scooped up Tucker who was just 6 months old, starving, and severely prolasped.
She contacted me and Tucker was taken to my vet. Loving and happy always, Tucker remained at the vets' for weeks because the colon would not stay in his body. Many procedures were tried and failed. It looked bad for Tucker. A last chance surgery was done, the colon was attached to the adonominal wall to hold it in place. Success!! And one year later, Tucker is and always will be, in perfect health. I love the big guy, but he needs his own home.
C.A.T. Rescue is not a shelter, we do not receive visitors. We do have adoption events most weekends at many locations such as PetSmart Austin, San Marcos, New Braunfels. Tractor Supply Bulverde, Earth Angels San Marcos, etc. Visit and like our Facebook page for event schedules or contact us at CatAlliesofTexas@gmail.com.
Cat Allies of Texas Rescues' mission is focused on cats of Comal county. Our vision is to keep cats out of shelters. Place every adoptable cat or kitten in a home, reduce stray and feral populations through TNR. Help colony caregivers manage and care for their cats. C.A.T. Rescue will offer, when possible, humane assistance to all animals in need.
