Mojo's Story...
Hi! My name is Mojo. I am a male yellow lab. I weigh approximately 71 pounds. The vet estimates my date of birth as 9/4/2010. I came to the shelter as my family passed away and I was to much for my second family. I came to the shelter over weight and HW+ with a torn ACL. The vet and volunteers have taken great care of me as I needed surgery for my torn ACL and time to overcome the heartworms. I am clear of the heartworms and healed from my surgery. Don't think my past has affected me as I am good with other dogs and cats. I love to play in the water and with my tennis balls and chew toys. I love to be vacuumed and lay at your feet while we watch TV together. I would do best in a home that I'm not left alone for long and a fenced yard. I am being fostered and my foster says I'm very inquisitive. My adoption fee of $150 is quite comprehensive - I am neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped, wormed, tested negative for Heartworm/Ehrlichia/Lyme Disease and current on monthly heartworm/flea/tick preventative. Please consider making me part of your family, I would love to find myself as part of your pack!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mojo, a Hawk Point Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Hawk Point, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Hawk Point.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hawk Point already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hawk Point breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hawk Point paves the way for another one to be saved.
