Bruce - Gentle boy's Story...
This handsome dog looks to be a welsh terrier mix. He is just the sweetest boy - approx 3 yrs old and 25 lbs. He is very timid and shy, but very loving once he knows he's safe. He needs someone that can take some time to work with him and show him some TLC. He tested positive for heart worms and has been treated with the required set of injections, and he has been started on monthly heart guard as a preventative. He does need some leash training as he is still a little scared of the leash and some house training. He gets along with all of the other dogs, but can be scared of ones that are noisy or alphas. He would do better in a house with no small children. He is a really nice dog with a gentle disposition and is going to be a great companion for someone

The total adoption cost of $475 includes the required interstate health certificate and transport , spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, lepto, distemper and canine influenza, and micro chip with a lifetime pre paid registration . The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3. All our dogs are in foster care, there is no physical shelter. Some have not yet arrived in PA.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bruce - Gentle boy, a Allentown Welsh Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Welsh Terrier for sale in Allentown, or seeking a Welsh Terrier dog from a breeder in Allentown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Allentown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Allentown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Welsh Terrier breeders who help with Welsh Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Allentown paves the way for another one to be saved.
