Betty (Declawed & Spayed)'s Story...
"Betty" is a beautiful 4-year old female Tortoiseshell kitty who was surrendered by her family on May 30, 2016. This gorgeous girl has a dark brown/orange/beige short smooth coat in a tortoiseshell pattern, a long tail, and a pretty face with green/gold eyes and a large orange stripe on her nose/forehead. "Betty" loves her adult friends but didn't get along with the small children who shared her home (which is the reason she was surrendered). She was given vaccinations and wormer on May 30, 2016. "Betty" has already been spayed. She has also been front declawed, so she would be required to be an exclusive indoor-only cat. Her previous owner had Betty combo tested at their veterinarian.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Betty (Declawed & Spayed), a Marietta Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
