When Fiona found herself in the pound, we can only imagine what might have gone through her head: what have I done wrong; is this my fault; why have I been abandoned? Lonely, confused, forgotten. For this Hidden Treasure Tuesday, we present to you Fiona, a sweet, loving girl who has had a very hard life. Through being rescued, she is beginning to learn the world can be bright and full of kindness. She is still a little hesitant, but is working to become strong, just like we know she can be. She loves other cats and we do well in a home with another cat to play with and to help continue to blossom.
Fiona is a food fanatic! She minds her own business, loving to relax, but with one clink of her food dish, she's running into the kitchen, gazing up at you with her big, soulful face, wondering where her food is! Fiona's foster mom describes her face as having a surprised look on it, which is adorable and will melt your heart. Fiona feels safest when she is perched up on her cat tree, welcoming kisses and pets. When she's on the ground, she's still hesitant, and will back away if she sees hands approaching her. She is making huge strides, and will do well in a home full of love and care that will show her no one is ever going to hurt her again.
So many cats are abandoned, left for nothing, passed over and ultimately forgotten. We want to ensure that Fiona and all the cats we're featuring on Tuesdays are celebrated, given new life and the hope for a happy future. They deserve nothing less, and only need to be given the chance to shine. A reminder that we're offering a special adoption fee of $50 for cats like Fiona who have been searching desperately for their new homes.
