My name is Artichoke but my foster mom likes to call me Miss Artie. I'm a 30 years young female Yellow-Naped Amazon. I am an excellent talker and will hold a "conversation" with anyone. I can be a little loud at times but am not usually a screamer. I love to climb around the outside of my cage and chew up any paper or wood toys within my reach. I like to eat Nutriberries and spray millet. My foster mom keeps putting other things on top of them like vegetables and pellets but I just eat around it. I haven't stepped up yet but I will take treats from your hand if you're patient with me. My mom passed away a year ago and I miss her very much. My dad wasn't able to take care of me all by himself so he asked Florida Parrot Rescue to help find me a new family. Think you could use a feather-child in your family? An avian veterinarian has properly vetted all birds before they are placed up for adoption. Adoption fees include the bird's cage IF the bird has a cage - most do, but please ask!
