Facts about Stitch

  • Breed: Chihuahua
  • Color: Tan/Yellow/Fawn
  • Age: Young
  • Size: Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
  • Sex: Male
Stitch was dumped in the Argenta area of North Little Rock, AR. He was running with another small Chihuahua who was hit and killed on Broadway. A lady who lives in the area contacted me and asked me to help her with Stitch. I trapped him on a cold, rainy day and took him straight to the vet. We thought he also may have been hit by a car. He had head wound. They also thought he was limping. The vet checked him out and I brought him home to rehabilitate him. His head wound healed and he was neutered and vaccinated. He was skin and bones and frightened to death of people. Now, he's healthy, heart worm free, and happy. Stitch weighs about 7 pounds. He's an adorable fawn little man who loves to be held and loves to play and run outside. He loves treats and toys. He will require someone who can be patient with him. He's still learning to trust people again. He's great with me and a few of my friends now. He kisses me and plays with my hair. We don't want to place this guy in a home with children, large dogs, or men. Stitch will do best in a home with small dogs only. About Arkansas Chihuahua Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Arkansas Chihuahua Rescue's mission statement: To rescue abandoned, abused, unwanted, lost, neglected, injured or shelter Chihauhuas by rehabilitating and providing medical care, spay/neutering and to place these Chihuahuas in loving, caring, forever homes.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We don't show pets as of now. We usually find new adopters via word of mouth or from our Facebook page.

Our Adoption Process...

We charge an adoption fee which varies on the age and health of the dog. We require 3 references and a vet reference. We do not adopt Chihuahuas to homes with toddlers or large aggressive dogs. We have a contract that outlines our expectations of the adopter. We require that the adopted pet never be relinquished to a shelter. Our adoption fee includes a health certificate from a licensed vet, spay/neuter, combo shot, Rabies vaccine and certificate, microchip and appropriate state- required tests such as Lyme and Erlichia tests.
